Bring Me The Horizon - Blessed with a Curse

In this video there are alot of mid shots of the band and also alot of close up shots of the lead singer, Oil Sykes, this gives the impression that Oli is the most important member of the band as most of the band shots are of him on his own.

There are alot of mid shots of the girl in the video but she doesnt fit in with the fit and the style of music very well, the clips of her seem to be randomly editted into the video however the clips of her do tell a short story that are slightly connected to the song. The camera is very still at the beginning and when it does move it is very slow and steady, however as the music builds and up and gets faster the camera moves more freely and fast.

The mis-en-scene in the clips of the girl are quite different and contrasting to the mis-en-scene of the band shots and also the general thought of what a band of this genre would include in their video. The girl is located in a very upper class grand looking dinning room with a huge long table with chairs that match the room and colours perfectly, there are big painting on the wall with expensive looking frames, the table is set out all perfectly for a large group of people to eat with the correct cutlery in the correct places. The girls dress is ball like and expensive looking, it matches the colours in the room perfectly and even the design fits in well with the room, shes wearing expensive jewelry and also her hair is very poshly done up. 

When the band is shot the mis-en-scene is very simple the background/room is just plain white, all the band are wearing grey t-shirts and there are some large black frames that the band members individually stand behind and also later on in the video there are also very dark coloured small branches. The editting is very slow between shots at the beginning of the video until the music builds up, the music builds up the editting is quick and choppy. In some parts of the video it has been edited to make it look like the lens on the camera is broken and also that the screen is divided. occasionally the shots are flipped upside down in the video but these shots arent shown for long. This video is very concept based as the lyrics and the video dont fit together very well however the music and visuals fit together very well.
