The digi pack is a black and white based pack, all of the text and picture/photos are in black and white with slight grey tones to it all, the majority of the digi pack has been edited in a way that gives the effect and look of an old picture or piece of paper.
The front cover is simple with just someones torso of a person in the picture holding a police board, the person is more than likely a female as the posture of the person is soft and also the person has painted finger nail which stands out because the light/flash has been captured in the shine of the nail varnish,
this appeals to their audience because the majority of their fans are female and having a female on the cover can may encourage more of the female fans to buy the album as they may feel they can relate to the album cover. The text on the front cover is placed on the police board in a white text, this makes it stand out as the board is black and grey and the majority of the front cover is dark greys and black. The digi pack is opened there is instantly two pictures of the whole band in black, white and grey, the first picture you see is of staged photo of the band, you can tell its been well thought out and the members have been positioned in a certain way with the lead singer at the front of the photo with all members looking at the camera as if they are looking at the audience of the digi pack to connect with the audience and make them feel part of the album and the cover. This picture is still quite a casual picture however because the picture includes the usual white sheet background for photos but they are standing further forward so parts of the room can be seen as if the audience is the photographer. The other picture is even more casual in a sense that the band don’t look like they have been specifically placed and the photo has been taken from the side, only two of the members are looking at the camera and they are all standing around looking as if they are waiting for something to happen, the mis-en-scene of this photo is very laid back, with brick walls with random old posters on and big gate and metal frames everywhere, also the picture is very dark a sonly natural light has been used and also its been edited to back, white and grey. This picture is also on top of a background of police papers with finger prints and people descriptions on it, the picture is placed on top as if its and actually photo placed on a desk of paper work. This background is carried though to the rest of the inside of the digi pack and all the paper work is based ont he band members with their names on the papers and their finger prints. Everthing at this point is still in the same effect and colour scheme which links the whole pack together.
The back cover of the digi pack is very simple, the names of the songs a listed in order down the left side of the pack and all in line with each other, the text is simple and white like the front cover and its on a patchy black and dark grey background which makes the song list stand out. There is a lot of blank space on the back of the digi pack however i find that this works and is effective to show the song listings because the rest of the digi pack is quite busy and doesn’t have a lot of empty space. There isn’t a great deal of information on the back cover, the only information is the information that is needed such as barcode, record label and the copy right information.
