Colours and Design
I would say that this whole them to this album is like something from a game. A great example of this is the front cover of the album, as it has something that looks like a transformer. The use of different and not so ordinary images continue on throughout the album and looks to me like drawings with weapons and flags. From looking through the whole album, the colours that follow throughout it are sophisticated dark colours, with mainly dark greens with black ink splats, which I think helps justify this album a lot more, as it sets that mysterious and eerie effect. I like the fact that the majority of the album cover is mainly dark, with a few random other colours in there such as red, white and orange, because it makes the album cover look that little bit more interesting.
Text
The text throughout the album is very funky looking and unusual. On the front cover I think that the text links in very well with the whole game effect. Because the picture looks like it's meant to be a bulky, big transformer, I think that the text links in well with the picture, because that too, is a bulky, large font, and it corrosponds well with the image. I've also noticed that the text colour also changes throughout the album. On the front cover the text is orange, the second page it's red and black, with 'Linkin Park' in white. I like this because the variation of colours are still continuing throughout, and the colour of choices haven't be so restricted. What I really thought was interesting and different was how the songs were spelt, for example, one song is called "H! VLTG3", which I'm guessing means, 'High Voltage', and for some reason, again, this kind of text always makes me want to associate it with a game. I like how the text links in with the actual colour of the CD too, because there's only a few texts that are coloured red, and it was a nice surprise to see that the CD was red too. I think that this is a good feature to the album, because it makes the CD stand out more.
Target Audience
In my opinion I think that the main target audience for this album would be mainly targeted for guys. A big reason as to why I think this is because of the text, the pictures, and the colours. In my opinion, the whole album in general looks like something my brother would buy, mainly because of how the whole game/transformers kind of layout.
